I know I should be sleeping now but as I was doing the usual stalking-ppl-on-fb daily routine of random people before I go to bed, I realized I have sorta "disconnected" from the utarians >_<"
I know it's really common when one asks "how are you" just to start a conversation with a stranger/friend just for the sake of being polite or god-knows-what reasons, but here's a genuine "how are you" to everyone in kiasu spirit.
How are you? How's your new job/course?
Well, here's a lil info bout my current life. Staying in PJ now, working as a biomedical conversion engineer that deals with MRI images and designing knee implants everyday. Is my work stressful? Yes of course it is, but it's more like everyone in my department is stressed due to KPI issue. On the good side, I don't deal with clients/surgeons directly =D

I am now studying/"Kuli-ing" in Taiwan National Cheng Kung University. Now doing fishy research on Grouper fish's Nervous necrosis virus.
Unilife is nice, just that I have to spend most of my time inside lab (10am-11pm) daily regardless holiday or weekdays (always sneaking out when I have time XD). But, there is one thing that Utarian should be proud of... I get into this university because of UTAR, my current supervisor said that "UTAR is a newly emerge university, your university's lecturer are more energetic compare to the other U. I know UTAR is quite young, but this university's quality is quite good, :D"
I wish that I had shown them Utarian BT's Kiasu Spirit, Kiasu Bo Kiasi, Pia until my last breath and enjoy every moment.

Yea!~ Next is me, Joanne. Staying in Subang Jaya and work as lab officer. Working in a Uni can see Utarians are still the best!! Here?? Sigh, all macam lembik, kena pampered, lazy, cannot accept challenge, and they thought with money everything also can buy.... pathetic.... so let's us continue to be proud as a Utarian!~~ oops, hope i wont kena fired.... ^^
LOL...me here too!~Staying at Kelana Jaya (KJ)now, work in Taylor's as Lab Officer (same with Jojo). Everyday i spent at least half-1+ hour in jam...STUPID JAM~ :P Students here and students in UTAR are not the same...and hor...Taylor's student service and UTAR student service are TOTALLY NOT SAME...Taylor's students 太幸福了!~ but still..i proud to be a Utarian...someone said before: 就算把UTAR的学生丢到非洲都能做完FYP!!! hahahaha~I MISS UTAR T.T

Hmm, I currently hold the job title as a maid/helper at home, taking care of grandma and cleaning everything xD (Dad said I came back at the right time coz ngam ngam grandma had her leg operated, and dad sprained his back @.@)
At the meant time, me still looking for a job! It's nearly been a month since i last came back on 11th April, tapi still tak ada kerja!!! @.@ Any recommendation? =D Would very much prefer to be engaged in regulatory/clinical trials/medical/management/quality/lab... sales would be last choice (you know my persuading skills larr.. cough cough) ^^
Also looking for any scholarships/sponsorships for further studies in clinical health.. coz many jobs i've applied requires this knowledge u see.. i hv so much passion in this clinical thingy~
Miss BT very much.. and will be very thrilled if there is any BT gathering! I know you guys working/further studying out there are really putting in great effort, some enjoying hehe. Gambate my friends, in achieving your respective dreams =)

Once u gained a lot of knowledges, u nid to sell(pass down) your skills, so dun avoid sales, but try to learn from them. u can do it!!!! cz u are Utarian!!! hahahaha to get a job is not hard as long as u noe how to sell urself ^^

I'm currently working in a health screening center as a medical technician. It's a nice place to work in, but it's a bit slow and sometimes too free. Don't get me wrong, not that I want to be very, very busy, but aometimes I feel like it's a waste of time. Ok, better stop here. ^^ Anyway, I'm also staying in Subang. Yes, we should definitely get together soon.

it's fun and challenging especially when have to deal with all sort of parents, especially kiasu parents..
One advantage is my working time is pretty short lor, but then terbalik with other peoples..I only start working when everyone is coming back home.. =(

Good to see Ce Yan started this first post since our graduation. Touching to see kiasu BT people came back and commented on it.
I worked as Nature Specialist at Penang Butterfly Farm (PBF) before. Title sounds good but actually it is a tour guide nature job. Main responsibility is to guide tourist through the farm and also explain about the life and interesting facts of live exhibit at PBF. Pay is quite low but the company is VERY nice. So yee Zhieng, I havn't experience the darkness in the street yet. However, I knew about the hardness of working life now. Uni life definitely better and less stress (exam stree is nothing compare to life stress when you need to start planning own future and also taking care of parents). But I met alot of interesting people from around the world. Nice exposure indeed and I had the chance to polish my poor english and this job also enhanced my confidence to embrace master program.
Now I am the only master student of Dr. Alan in UTAR Sungai Long campus (Barry and Swan is writing paper now). But I have nothing to do now as I am buying my things. My quotations are on the meeting table now (not yet approve). Haha... so free that I am now teaching 3-6 yrs old kids Chinese class. Teach them how to pronouce and write. Cute and one of them is very cunning. He said he don't know English but actually he can speak very well. He doesn't want to write and this is very challenging. lol...
Hope to hear from others and see post about your working life. This post stimulated my urge to post about PBF and UTAR Sg. Long lab. But I am very lazy to write blog d... so wait la... wahaha...

I am now staying in penang.. work as RND technologist in textile company.
The job responsibility is doing research on fabric such as one of technology is develop Non-iron clothe ( as customers don not need to iron their formal wear after they wash clothes and etc). That kind of clothes are sold in US ady. =)
I miss Uni life badly.
Working in factory especially many thing to be considered and see people face to work. Stress from Boss and big boss as well as from working performance review. Have good relationship with all layer of people only can foster our progress. It is good to train someone to become alert when meet with different kind of people.

Working in OCBC now, credit cards department....Feels like a stress barn, dealing with lunatics from Singapore :D Though i have completely changed my field to banking and learned a lot in my 3 months training, akin to another degree in banking in 3 mths,lol. 6 months on, and i'm hoping it lasts. Lastly, wish you guys all the best in whatever field you choose to venture into ;)

On a more serious note, let me proudly proclaim that I have completely forsaken my Biotechnology teachings and subscribed to an office job where I feel immensely helpful by making a minimal contribution to my hotel company using DNA structure drawings that, in some ways, imitate the management structure of my organization. Of course, some would say I had already forsaken my Biotechnology teachings way before the start of the final exams, which lead to speculations as to how I managed to graduate, and why in the world I am spewing nonsense in this blog post's comments when I am supposed to be working right now.

Hey people, miss u guys loads and good to hear from everyone! I always think that our kiasu spirits are the best, see, now everyone is venturing into different fields, so damn cool! As for me, I am STILL an underwriter in a VERY FAMOUS insurance company (despite stressing that I will be resigning very soon, I wonder why I'm still here *shrugs*). Its my first job and I always felt being exploited by the company, therefore I call myself a cheap labour. Le sigh. However by bringing along the spirit of kiasu-ness with me, I somehow manage to endure the hardship, things do get better now, at least less complains u heard from me XD
Anyway, where are the dai lous(MZ, Francis & Kitson) of kiasu spirit?

shee wuen here..so touched to read all the comments and UTAR indeed is our choice! Indirectly molded us and trained us to become BOLDED and STRONGER than any other uni students, as jojo said Taylor's are more lembik one..(lol, maybe some are not)
I am working in Pfizer as medical rep and thankfully I am enjoying it very much. Sales in pharma is really different as we are dealing with drs and pharmacists and not to really persuade them but show them clinical datas and diff trials etc..but will discover how nasty some drs can be and how some datin/datuk/drs' wife can take advantage of you..Its fun with flexible time and can earn what we sow in the customers..
I believe there're struggles in diff jobs but everyone surely will find their desire/dream job soon :))) Lets fight together!!!! :)
cant wait for BT gathering, I think everyone is quite near in kl/damansara/subang/klang, why not lets have our gathering around these area :) and another one in Oct as planned ? :)

so, if time does not allow, we have to sacrifice them, or mayb like what u suggested, having one nearby PJ areas then another in Oct, will see how...more suggestions and supports needed.. ^^
